Two school districts serve Greenspoint: Aldine Independent School District and Spring Independent School District. For continued education opportunities, the Lone Star College System has a number of campuses in the area that offer a variety of degree plans and class choices.
Aldine Independent School District
Aldine ISD covers 111 square miles in north Harris County. It currently has an ethnic breakdown of 56.5 percent Hispanic, 33.4 percent African American, 7.3 percent White, 2.6 percent Asian/Pacific Islander, and less than one percent Native American. Spring Independent School District
Spring ISD is located 20 miles north of downtown Houston in an urban area of Harris County that spans 57 square miles and is home to over 130,000 residents. The District's current ethnic breakdown is 1 percent Native American, 5 percent Asian/Pacific Islander, 35 percent African American, 32 percent Hispanic and 27 percent White. Lone Star College System
Located in the north Houston metro area of Texas, Lone Star College System serves 1,400 square miles in Harris and Montgomery Counties. The college district is among the largest and fastest growing community college districts in Texas, with five distinct colleges:
- LSC-North Harris
- LSC-Kingwood
- LSC-Tomball
- LSC-Montgomery
- LSC-CyFair
Lone Star College System also has seven satellite centers, and offers Associate’s Degrees, Certificates, Enhanced Skills Certificates, and Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees through partner universities at The University Center.
