Planning and Infrastructure
Planning and Infrastructure quite literally make up the foundation of Greenspoint. The Greenspoint District develops plans for transportation, circulation, development, landscaping, streetscaping, district identity and parks and open spaces. Keeping with the successful partnership strategy, these master plans are integrated into existing regional, county and city planning.
The Planning and Infrastructure team also works to establish a strong community base of housing and retail by partnering with the Greater Greenspoint Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone to facilitate development and redevelopment projects. The Zone is expected to increase the overall value of Greenspoint commercial property by investing $250 million over a 30-year period by providing incentives for developers to build or redevelop in Greenspoint. It reimburses them for the public amenities they include in their projects, including, but not limited to: streets, parks, public plazas, lighting, landscaping and streetscaping
